Program of Electrical Engineering, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Applications are invited for PhD and MSc studentships in signal processing techniques and instrumentation . Studentships are funded by the CNPq/CAPES research councils in Brazil.
Potential topics include:
Design of Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducers
Ultrasonics
Arrays and focusing
Guided waves
The main application areas are inspection, monitoring systems and nondestructive test, communication and energy transfer
The activities will involve numerical, analytical and/or experimental approaches. Numerical simulation tools and experimental facilities are available, including several generating and acquisition equipment and prototyping tools.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with (or expecting) a BSc, an MEng or an MSc in Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering or related areas. The successful candidates will be based at the PUC-Rio, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
